Carisa Kessler

Director

Carisa grew up in Colorado and has been playing volleyball for over 25 years. She played club volleyball since the age of 11 and was a 3 year Varsity starter and team captain at Niwot High School. Her collegiate playing experience includes the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Colorado School of Mines, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering. After finishing her collegiate playing career, she competed at Nationals in an Adult NCVF league where her team won gold and Carisa was a first team all tournament selection. Carisa also won the Breckenridge Open tournament in grass doubles and a trip to compete at Manhattan Beach.

Carisa has coached club volleyball since 2011. She has successfully coached multiple division one teams in the Rocky Mountain Region during that time. Her 15's team in 2015 earned a bid to Nationals at the Phoenix Festival tournament. She coached them to a 3rd place finish overall in the Rocky Mountain Region, a 5th place finish at JVA World Challenge, and 28th in open at Nationals.

Carisa was Varsity head coach at Alexander Dawson from 2016-2018, where in her first year she flipped their record and produced their first winning season in 4 years. In her second and third years Dawson had their best two seasons in school history, finishing as Regional runners-up, once second only to the state champions.

Carisa is currently the Varsity head coach at Broomfield High School. In both of her previous two seasons as a Varsity assistant coach, Broomfield made state appearances - finishing 7th in 2021.
